With the arrival of the new year 2026, we present to you the current ARE Product Catalogue. The scope of the offering, while maintaining its cyclical nature, is adjusted to current needs resulting from the ongoing evolution of the Polish energy market. As every year, we therefore propose new, issue-focused analyses and studies.
The year 2026 may prove very important in terms of continuing the intensive transformation of the Polish power sector towards the development of low-emission energy sources, which will determine the shape of Poland’s energy mix in the coming decades. The European Commission has approved the possibility of granting state aid for the first nuclear power plant in Poland, which is an important step towards diversifying electricity generation. In 2026, key offshore wind farm projects will already reach a large scale and enter the phase of proper offshore installation works. An important element of a secure transformation will also be the development of flexible sources, mainly new gas-fired units. At the same time, a strong acceleration of investments in energy storage can be expected, which will contribute to strengthening security of supply and stabilising the power balance, with the growing share of renewables.
In 2026, changes are also planned in the area of distribution tariff regulation, including those concerning the regulated rate of return on investments for operators, which will affect their investment capabilities and the pace of network transformation. This year will also be a huge challenge for the entire energy sector: the model of how the energy market operates will change, and full implementation of the important CSIRE system may also take place. Finally, an important factor in the current year is the end of the freezing of electricity prices for households, which will open the energy market and customers to new products and offer models.
