About the Energy Market Agency
Energy Market Agency Joint Stock Company (ARE S.A.) was established on February 24, 1997, to conduct statistical research and system analyses, including economic simulations in the field of energy management.
Its creation fulfilled the assumptions of the government's energy policy, which stated that a commercial law entity should be established to carry out analytical and forecasting work for energy enterprises to continue the reform of the fuel and energy sector, as well as for government agencies cooperating in formulating and implementing energy policy ("Assumptions of Poland's Energy Policy until 2010" - a document adopted by the Council of Ministers on October 17, 1996). "Energy Without Secrets With Us" is the motto guiding our activities, as the mission of the Energy Market Agency S.A. is to meet informational needs and provide expert knowledge in the field of energy. The realization of the Agency's mission enables its clients to obtain both historical and current data, as well as forecasts regarding future energy needs and ways to meet them, in line with set business and regulatory goals.
The most important and prestigious area of activity is the statistical research and analyses we conduct in cooperation with government agencies, with the dominant task resulting from this being the operation and development of the Fuel and Energy Economy Data Bank for public statistics purposes, and providing information in this area to government authorities, energy enterprises, and other entities operating in the market. In this field, we work closely with the Ministry of Climate and Environment (formerly the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Economy and Labor, and the Ministry of Economy, Labor, and Social Policy), the Central Statistical Office, and the Energy Regulatory Office.
The results of our statistical work, as well as our analytics, forecasts, and consulting work, are widely used by energy companies and their cooperating firms. In this area, we boast a large number of cyclical reports that characterize the changes taking place in the fuel and energy markets in Poland, the entire European Union, and other parts of the world. We also carry out individual studies and other consulting services, and depending on the client's preferences, the work is done independently or in close collaboration with the parties involved.
An important segment of ARE's informational offer is the well-known portal, updated 24 hours a day, CIRE.pl, recognized by all those involved in energy topics. It continuously provides information on events in the fields of electricity, gas, heating, and mining, while also serving as a place for free exchange of views on related topics.
